Team
You will be joining a growing organization of 90 employees who excel in delivering customized early R&D and manufacturing service solutions to both the Pharmaceutical industry and the Life Science industry as a specialty CRO and CDMO. You will, as part of an experienced commercial team, be working closely with colleagues in Business Development and Marketing as well as cross-functionally with highly skilled Project Managers and R&D colleagues.


The Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) provides small scale but high-end process development and cGMP manufacturing services in the specialty protein/enzyme area. The CDMO works closely together with the Recombinant Protein group in the CRO when developing, implementing, or trouble shooting new manufacturing processes.

The Contract Research Organization (CRO) provides R&D based services within the Biomedical and Biotechnology field. Services include end-to-end recombinant protein solutions from feasibility to non-GMP production and early drug candidate development, characterization and formulation.

Challenge
Bioneer has an open opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Business Developer who masters the scientific project sell, the ability to effectively convert prospects to long term customer relationships and who enjoys breaking new commercial grounds in an engaged, respectful and team-oriented work environment.

You will be responsible for driving commercial activities to build and grow Bioneer’s CDMO business. This is a new position with significant growth potential. You will be instrumental in building and securing a stable pipeline of customer projects comprising development, scale-up and manufacture of 1) commercial high quality GMP proteins that serve as critical raw materials or ancillary components in advanced biological manufacturing processes; 2) early-stage biologics for non-clinical use; 3) recombinant proteins for diagnostic applications etc.

You will as part of a small and agile recombinant protein team spanning Bioneer’s CRO and CDMO be working with Business Development, Project Managers and technical area experts dedicated to reduce the time to market and to de-risk non-clinical drug development for Bioneer’s customers and partners.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Contribute to commercial strategy development
  • Drive development and execution of Sales/Marketing plans for the CDMO
  • Identify, qualify and prospect new leads to establish stable customer project pipeline
  • Network and build relationships with customers, customer prospects, strategic partners, and with industry networks including consultants
  • Develop, negotiate and win customer contracts in close collaboration with the CRO/CDMO team
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing colleagues to build stable flow of news and service launches within defined focus areas
  • Contribute pro-actively to open dialogue and coordination of customer projects, strategic collaborations and service offerings spanning the CRO and CDMO

Talent
You have a relevant scientific/technical education like M.Sc. within e.g. protein chemistry or process technology. At least 3 years of documented hands-on experience in project sales from the Life Science industry – ideally with contract experience from the C(D)MO industry.

You have:

  • A passion for engaging in scientific discussions with both internal teams and customers, leveraging their expertise to drive innovative solutions
  • Strategic commercial mind-set with proven track record in converting leads to negotiated deals and in growing sales
  • Accustomed to working independently and in cross-functional teams - and to solicit input from key stakeholders
  • You enjoy travelling domestically/internationally (approx. 25%)

As a person you are ambitious and performance oriented and at the same time working together with others in a motivating style. You are positive, committed and full of drive. You think business oriented and have the ability to organize and plan processes that optimize and support your work. It is important that you are focused, can prioritize and keep calm when deadlines are tight. You are good at solving problems and thrive in a highly scientific environment. You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
