The Team
You will be joining the Pharma Compliance team with dedicated and skilled colleagues based in Hellerup. The group is in addition to Compliance and Data Privacy also responsible for Enterprise Risk Management, Trademarks and P|ESG. As the team is quite small, it is important that you thrive in a role where no tasks are too small or too big to handle.

The team and the company are growing and on behalf of Ascendis Pharma A/S, Best Talent is now seeking a passionate and skilled Healthcare Compliance Senior Specialist ( Associated Director ) to join the team in a new position.

The Challenge
As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma Compliance team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the Corporate Compliance Program, and all that entails. This is an exiting and challenging opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where you collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

You are experienced within Healthcare Compliance, and you thrive in a Senior role, where you provide solution-oriented advice and support to the business with the primary focus on ensuring compliant promotional and scientific exchange as well as engagements.

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Support the General & Healthcare Compliance work in the direct markets in Europe
  • Ensure accurate legal reviews of promotional and scientific exchange to mitigate the risk of legal and economic sanctions through a risk-based, proactive approach
  • Coordinate country-specific reviews of materials in countries where Ascendis Pharma has no local presence
  • Develop, update and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, both in relation to general compliance as well as healthcare compliance
  • Collaborate to create a culture of compliance
  • Provide insight into external industry and compliance environment and recommend best practices and process improvements
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance training consistent with Ascendis Pharma policies, applicable laws and industry standards
  • Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes and industry standards in the healthcare field
  • Conduct Compliance monitoring

Talent
You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a master´s degree in law combined with substantial Healthcare Compliance experience from an international and multicultural environment.

Strong knowledge and understanding of the Pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of healthcare laws is required.

Furthermore, you have the following key competences:

  • Experience with document and information management systems
  • Proficient within promotional and scientific exchange compliance and general interaction with the healthcare community
  • Understands the requirements and standards under the relevant legislation and industry standards like IFPMA, EFPIA and ENLI
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills

You are a strong team player, analytical, and have a can-do attitude with an open and positive mindset. You like to get things done, are flexible, adaptable and possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and can thrive in an informal, open environment where innovation and change are key factors.

To succeed in this role, they also expect you to work with a structured and systematic approach to solving tasks in close collaboration with your team members and the business. You are proficient in English at a professional level, both written and spoken, and you master MS Office. You thrive with being in contact with many stakeholders both internally and externally.

Travel: 10-20 days per year.
