The Challenge
As Senior Manager / Associate Director of Competitive Intelligence, you play a pivotal role in Ascendis Pharma's success within the rare endocrinology disease space. You will deliver high-quality intelligence to enable informed decision making across the organization by gathering, analyzing, and transforming date into actionable insights to drive growth.
You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leaders from Research and Product Development, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Project Management teams. Reporting to the Director of Competive Intelligence, you will be part of a dedicated and experienced team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead competitive intelligence efforts by collecting, analyzing and disseminating information to create a unified understanding of the market landscape
- Conduct in-dept analyses of competitors’ strategies, strengths and weaknesses, while closely monitoring industry and market trends acces the potential impact of environmental changes on the business
- Act as strategic thought partner across functions and teams, collaborating to plan and execute market research projects and deep-dive analytics to support key business decisions
- Stay current on key publications (e.g., scientific literature, analyst reports, regulatory documents) and share insights with key stakeholders
- Contribute to special projects or operational initiatives such as patient advocacy collaborations, global reach planning, scenario planning and forecasting
- Establish processes, structures, and templates to support Ascendis' growth such as business case processes and market landscape tracking
Talent
You hold a relevant university degree in Life Sciences, preferably a PhD combined with significant experience in competitive intelligence, market research and analysis within biotech, pharma or consultancy
sectors. You have the ability to synthesize complex information at both scientific and
commercial levels and communicate it clearly and effectively in a data-driven manner. Proficiency in professional-level English written and spoken and mastery of MS Office are essential.
